my computor (laptop) has problems hibernating and turning on.?
When i hibernate my computor it does not let me for some reason. It says: The device for the “SDA standard compliant SD host controller device is preventing the machine from entering hibernation. Please close all aplication and try again. If the problem persists, you may need to update this driver.
the problem is i dont know how to do this or what it means, the last thing i did was download google earth, but i dont think thats the reason for the problem.
also when i turn my laptop on it does not show any thing on the screen, but when I plug in the charger it some how turns the screen on.
another problem is that when ever i attempt to hibernate the driver icon appears though i have nothing plugged in. it is “ricoh Memory Stick device” and i dont know what it is.
If this helps i have a compact presario v3000.

Resolution: remove the SD card from the SD slot. If problem persist, uninstall SD device driver, and download a compatible from Microsoft website. Disable hibernation in power options until the above problem resolved.
